Reminder to collect and save your Hansen’s Independent receipts and deposit them in the box in the church entrance.
General Meetings will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of January, May, September and December @ 7 pm in our parish hall. All women of the parish welcome!

Welcome!
Precious Blood Catholic Women’s League received their first charter in 1962 and reorganized in April 1982 with their current charter. Precious Blood CWL meets on the second Tuesday of the month (not during July and August) at 7pm in the parish hall at 200 Sanders St W, Exeter. We warmly welcome any woman aged 16 years of age and older to join us in living out our Catholic calling by sharing our gifts and serving our community. We are a sisterhood of women who share a common faith and try valiantly to put that faith into action by reaching out and supporting our parish and our community. Sometimes that looks like fundraising through bake sales or Coffee Sundays. Sometimes that looks like prayer service to our Blessed Mother or collecting for the local food bank. It is always with our faith first. We encourage you to come to a meeting or two or three and see if we are a good fit for you, how you want to live out your faith and use your gifts. We would love to see you!

Welcome!
A CWL Council was established at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Grand Bend in November 1956. Our members remain active within our parish and support needs locally, provincially, nationally and internationally.
Membership in the Catholic Women’s League is an opportunity to share time, talent and energy, for God and country; countless friendships have been formed within this sisterhood! All women, age 16 or older, are invited to join our Council.

Join Us!
Feast of Our Lady of Good Counsel: Countless miracles have been attributed to the prayerful intercession of Our Lady of Good Counsel, our patron saint. Join us for a Mass for CWL members on Friday, April 25, 12:15 pm, followed by a ‘bring your own lunch’ in the Church Hall. Coffee & tea will be provided. Come out and wear blue! All parishioners welcome.
Joanne, Denise and Tracy will attend the Annual Meeting of Members in Stratford April 28 to 30. May the Holy Spirit guide their thoughts and actions and those of our sisters in The Catholic Women’s League of Canada.

Membership
The general membership meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month (except June, July and August) at 7 pm at the Columbus Convention Centre. All ladies 16 years of age and older are welcome. If you're unsure about becoming a member, feel free to join us at any general membership meeting and/or check out our national website at www.cwl.ca. Membership fees are $35. per year and you decide your level of involvement. Not able to attend meetings? Join anyway and remember us in your prayers. Your membership also adds your voice of support for the local, national and international work in the many and varied outreach social justice issues currently being addressed by the League.

CWL Submissions
Our council will be preparing the May 3 Family meal for Fr. Vince’s 40th Anniversary.
The CWL League Lingo magazine can be found in the church or at www.cwllondon.com
Textile recycling is an ongoing project that the CWL is undertaking. We will take all old clothes, fabrics, coats etc., in bad repair and unusable. They can be placed in the large wooden box under the stairs at church.

St. Anne’s 2025 Faith in Action Award: Apply or nominate a graduating student from St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School, who is an active member of our parish and models the values of Jesus on a daily basis. The award recipient will receive a $100 bursary.
Easy Bottle Drive Fundraiser: Please save your bottle returns until June 2025. When you return them to the Grand Bend Beer Store, tell the cashier to put your return deposit into the St. Peter CWL donation jar. Details below.

Welcome!
We welcome all women of the parish age 16 and up to join us in living in faith, service, social justice, and sisterhood. We are a united voice of Catholic women across Canada providing faith-based opportunities for social interaction, personal development, and community service.
We meet the second Tuesday of the month in the Parish Hall from March through to December. Please join us. And if you are unable to attend meetings, consider a spiritual membership and pray for our efforts.
In the last 100 years, the CWL has passed approximately 1,000 resolutions on various issues. It is the only women’s organization in Canada that meets annually with various federal ministers and elected officials. League members began the process of creating change in society at a time when many provinces did not yet allow women to vote.

Membership fees are $35.00 annually and your membership creates change. Dues can be paid by cash or cheque (payable to St. Peter CWL) at the Parish Office or in the basket at mass. To e-transfer or for more information, contact AnnaMarie Patterson at [email protected].

The Catholic Women's League is rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God. It's purpose is to:
- achieve individual and collective spiritual development.
- promote the teachings of the Catholic church.
- exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life.
- protect the sanctity of human life.
- enhance the role of women in church and society.
- recognize the human dignity of all people everywhere.
- uphold and defend Christian education and values in the modern world.
- contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace and harmony.
