My name is Lori LaPorte. In December 2001 I began my position as secretary/bookkeeper for St. Boniface and St. Peter (St. Joseph’s) Churches. Since becoming a Family of Parishes in September 2020 I have assumed my new role as financial administrator for three of our six parishes. I am enjoying my new position and have had the pleasure of getting to know so many new people and look forward to meeting many more.

As a child, I grew up just north of St. Joseph’s where I attended the small French school, Ecole St. Marie and with my family we attended St. Peter Church. It is at St. Peter’s, where I celebrated all my sacraments, and where I married my wonderful husband, Mark LaPorte over 30 years ago. We have three grown handsome sons and 2 precious twin grandbabies.

Since moving to Zurich over 30 years ago, I have been an active member of St. Boniface Church. I have volunteered as a youth group leader, Eucharistic Minister and Minister of Hospitality. I was a member of the Transition Team as we prepared to become a Family of Parishes. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, golfing, going for long walks, knitting, cooking and baking.

I pray that we will continue to grow and unite as a community as we work together to become a mission-oriented family of parishes.
